Calls on members to explain their roles
Before each speech, asks the evaluator to read the speaker’s objectives
Introduces each speaker (gives title of speech, time & short bio.)
Remind people to write comments and to cast votes after speakers finish
Requests timer’s report
Introduces the General Evaluator

Timer

Times all speakers and evaluators

Grammarian

Listens for ahs, ums, double clutching
Picks word of the day
Squeaks for all but prepared speakers

General Evaluator

The evaluator’s evaluator – makes comments on evaluator’s evaluations
Gives overall feedback to Toastmaster and on the meeting as a whole

Speech and Table Topic Evaluators

Evaluate speakers based on set criteria

Table Topic Master

Announces time for table topics (1-2 minutes)
Presents the topic(s) for impromptu “mini-speeches
